Icon6 Headgasket considerations

I've been building a H22A7 (Acord Type R) engine for my friend. The head was reconditioned in a reputable local shop. I got it back assembled with new valve seals, stiffer springs and titanium retainers which I had supplied eariler. They had to deck it, refresh vavle seats and clean valves. Usual job. I had ca. 6 heads made there and no problems at all.
But problem started with this head as I wanted to set a valve lash. On ca. 10 valves I can't even stick the thinnest feeler gauge. WTF?!
I even changed setting screws to those coming from F20 engine (additional 0.85mm comparing to H22 ones). Still no go. I assume the head has its valve seats ****ed up as valve stems don't seem to lenghten in time, do they?
So i'm going to make a warranty claim on their job but besides of the result of the claim, the question is if I can reuse the headgasket? It's OEM one. The engine is still out of car, no oil inside etc. Completely fresh.
Cheers

C'mon it's not the first time... Anyway I had this engine revised by my friend who has 15+ years experience in Hondas... His opinion is the same like mine.

as long as the engine has not been started, which you have not, Yes you can reuse the headgasket,as it has not gotten hot yet.
