msf course completion certificate?
well, I took the msf course back in dec. on the 16-17 and passed. Was told that they will send me a completion certificate saying I passed, so I can go to the DMV and take my permit and get my license. Well, it hasn't arrived and I'm just wondering how long did it take you guys to get yours? Or did you guys just get it on the day you passed? I'm going to have to call them and ask if its been sent out yet.

my buddy got his certificate the day he passed and just went down to the dmv that afternoon. i waited about a month to get mine in the mail and had the same class location, same instructors, same everything...go figure. yours will prolly take a little longer cause of the holidays but it'll come.

I took it Sept of last year and still have not gotten it lol. You should have gotten a little buisness card that was signed by the instructor. Thats all you need.

it may vary by state. because that card was good for insurance, but i needed the form they send to hand into dmv as a road test waiver...

I don't know if the little white business card will work, but one of my buddies says it'll work at the DMV w/ the instructor's signature. And then one of my other buddies say's he got a pink 2x2 card as the certificate.
Anyone in cali know if I can just use the white business card state'n that I pass or do I have to wait for the pink 2x2 certificate in the mail?
TIA

I tried the business card thing and the lady at the dmv said it wouldn't work. Just wait for the pink certificate.

can they call the place that issues these waivers and verify the info?
because I already got my license so its not a big deal, but the numbers stated to rub off, and I tried filling them in with pencil and it looks like i forged it.
It looks ghetto.
I hear that it can reduce insurance rates and I dont want them to screw me over saying that its a fake or something.

Re: (methos713)
it took a week for me to get the certificate, i took the course of oldroseville in sac... i would call, or go down there and pick it up.. that lil competion course paper you get the same day is good for insurance purposes only. or discounts at bike shops if they honor it...

I got one the day of my completion and then another in the mail a couple weeks later.
I think it really depends on the place. If its a small area then it may not take too long, but if youre in a large area with a lot of people taking the course, it could take a few weeks. Youre in Sac, give it another week or so and then call em.
They may just be a lil shorthanded and behind. It is just the tailend of holiday season ya know. :D

well its been awhile...december 17th was when I took the test and passed. I was also given the white business card there too, but no pink slip. Out of our class, which was 15-16 people...only 1 person failed. Hummm...I'm considering giving them a call. I hate the waiting.

It took me about 1 week for the first one and about 2 weeks for the second one.

yeah that sucks... Im glad my parents were ok with me getting a bike. Ive been riding for about 3 years now (im 21). I was talking to my dad last night about going to track days when spring comes around. Its was kinda funny, I could hear it in his voice that he didnt like it but hey, I love to do it so what? It sucks for the guys who have parents who protest it just before the guy gets hurt. ride safe

Re: (hks85)
what is all this mail to you **** me and everyone I know got theirs the day they passed the course, different states must do it differently. Id be pissed if me being able to get my endorsement was at the whim of the shitty US postal service
