Tire Question. Contact patch under lean.
You can clearly see the portion of the tire im not using yet, I wanted to know what the limit to the contact patch is, I mean, can I just barely rest that edge of the tire on the pavement or does the wall flex a bit and let that be the "center" of the patch?
I am also noting that im almost using the whole front tire, the strip is smaller than on the rear. I had noticed on other bikes its usually the other way around. Is there something wrong with the suspension setup or my riding that could be causing this, or is it even a problem at all?
Just wanted to know because I feel I can lean a lot more still, but I see that Im getting close to the edge of the tire I wanted to know how much more I could be wiling to push, which is a problem I didnt have on the GS500 since the tire were so crappy I was sliding once I went over 25* of lean.
TIA,
Stefano

according to your tire it looks like you have a tendency to let off the throttle and decelerate mid turn. Am i correct?
If that is how you ride, you should get used to rolling the throttle through the turn before you start leaning more. Understeer FTL

Its not a problem on open turns with a constant or continuous radius, as long as the floor is smooth, I do tend to roll off a bit on Decreasing radius or if I see bumps, I know im not supposed to, I just have to work on at worst holding the throttle until I can roll in.

im not trying to pick on how you ride.
Dont worry about the contact patch. You just have to make sure you always ride within your limits or the bikes limits

No worries, its actually good to get a reminder on what to work on. I never push over what I feel safe, i wouldn't be asking about this in a forum if not, its easier to just push harder on the inside grip and see

clean yo bike dawg
I see that you have more room to grow but you need to keep the throttle constant or just slow down your turn in speed so that it is not necessary to let off. Keep yourself comfortable in turns and don't push it harder than you feel comfortable with.....it will come with time and practice.

You can always check your tire manufactures website for information on lean angles.
For instance, my Michelin PilotPower says 51.2º lean angle in the dry and 43º in the wet.
After a hard day of riding...
