Gear slipping with cbr600f4i
Hey there,
I have a 2002 cbr600f4i and seem to have a problem with my gears or transmission. Sometimes when I ride on 5th or 6th gear, the gear just slips off and I hear a grinding sound. After that, I need to clutch and change gear for it to come back. Has anyone ever had this problem. My 2nd gear also slipped in neutral a couple of times but that's something that can happen. Has anyone ever had this problem or is it a known issue for this model?

Someone else I knew had this problem. I think there clutch basket was damaged. Bottom line is you are probably going to have to pull the whole thing apart to find the problem before it gets worse.

It'll do it sometimes in second gear if you clutchless shift it under heavy throttle and don't kick the lever up hard enough.
