A fighter is born (250 content)
So it all started when i picked up this barely used Ninja 250 off a friend that was upgrading. I originally planed to only use it as a starter bike and hone some type of skills on it. Well a couple DD seasons later it was retired with about 18,000 miles on it and it had been down a few times (not all by me).
A few months ago i pulled it out from under a tarp where it had been sitting for about two years. I had a couple crazy ideas, and soon enough the wrenches started flying.
this is what happened....
started out looking like this but in a different color.
tearing apart and slight mockup
New bars and I fabbed up a mount quick like a bunny
Front shot, need to shorten headlight brackets bad
Some paint, bars on
New seat subframe fabbed up
Still have quite a bit to go but i think its coming along pretty well.
Next on the list is fitting a Dellorto 40 sidedraft on and reshaping the seat.
What you guys think?

Cool little deal. I'm not much into fighters, but as cost-effective projects go, this one is pretty sweet. Looking forward to more pics

Looking good, that rear fender is nice. You going to scrap that bigass seat and go with a solo? I think an '05 600rr race tail would fit nicely on there.
About that catch can... edit* I read your thread on CF.com. Impressive fab skills

Emptied a can of uber flat and now I'm kinda thinking some white would work alright. But anyways now you guys can check out the dual projectors, one is aimed a little down to light up the whole road, they work amazing, came out of a set of Honda EG aftermarket headlights. That stock overflow tank needs to go!!! Probably whip something up next week.

Re: A fighter is born (250 content)
new breath
Been very busy. The tail is in fact an SV1000 taillight, so pretty that i decided to keep it for the next stage.
I focused on cleaner lines, a smaller lighter gas tank, and further weight reduction. A new sub frame, battery relocation, wire tuck, and Honda CB-1 gas tank transplant were mods deemed necessary. Now with the pix
