What year CR? I picked up a Clymer manual for mine about 2 months ago. It's pretty well written. I think they're pretty good next the OEM shop manual which is about twice the price. Some times the OEM manual will skip steps I've heard becuase it's written assume the owner knows certain things. I put a new top end in mine about a month ago and the Clymer was very handy to have. Here's a link that may have something:

-Every time you ride, have fun.
-Clean the air filter often if you ride in a dusty area
-Change the trans oil every couple rides (I do it about once a year )
-Check the chain (for slack) and sprockets once in a while
That's about it for the basics. Pretty easy. My 2000 has been bulletproof. The top end should last you a full year. Longer or shorter depending on how many hours you put on it. This maintenance routine is geared towards the weekend warrior doing mostly trail riding. Riding motocross tracks a lot increase some maintenance - more attention to the suspension components, brakes, etc. Find out what the previous owner did with it and that will clue you in on how much attention you need to give it.
