CBR600F4i Throttle Bodies/Intake Assembly
Hi guys, new member in need of some information for a swap I'm doing at present. I'm looking at fitting the throttle body assembly off an '04 CBR600F4i and I was wondering if anybody could tell me the throttle body spacings on these. I read somewhere that the CBR600RR has 75mm spacings between TBs, but these are different TBs, as they're 40mm compared to the F4i which has 38mm TBs. I need to get a measurement so I can work out if they'll fit. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Steph

Re: CBR600F4i Throttle Bodies/Intake Assembly
Your a legend, but I already bought them and have them here now. The spacing measurements are 74mm - 76mm - 74mm.
I have to say, with the automatic idle air bypass system (WAX), and the regulator mounted on the fuel rail, these are an excellent candidate for the change over from carbs to TBs. The best part was I scored an as-new set off eBay for $50 which is insanely cheap IMO. The guy I got them from claimed the bike had only done a couple of thousand miles before being dropped, and looking at how clean they were, I can't help but believe him. Still, I spent a few hours polishing up the WAX valve assembly, and the regulator. The fuel rail comes with a golden cadmium finish, but this is just a residual coating that wasn't washed off at the platers IMO, because all it took was a minutes work with a rag and some silver polish, and it came off, revealing perfect chrome underneath. It looks waaay better now in chrome, and with the black nylon braided hoses and fittings, it creates a perfect contrast between the two. I'm over stainless braid and blue and red fittings, all black braided hoses and fittings looks way cool IMO. Until I get sick of them too!
Oh yeah, to give you an idea how clean they were, I haven't so much as touched the return spring, but you can see it there, still looking like it's new. That's the good thing about bikes, a lot just don't get ridden a lot, and heaps live in the garage, and never get ridden in the rain. My bike has 5000 miles on it and it's a 2005 model! My point is that it's not hard to find bits that are in excellent condition. It helped that these came off a 2006 I expect. In case you're wondering, these are going on my carbed Civic. I'm keeping it in the family, no Suzuki parts on my Honda!
