Default 99 cbr f4 overheats problem with colling fan turn on

my fan wont turn on!! anyone know what controls the cooling fan on the radiator and makes it turn on? fuses, relay, heat sensor? i know overheating is a common problem with f4s but obviously it will overheat if the fan doesnt go on.

ps, it only heats up when i idle, not while riding fast.

Try running about an 80/20 mix of distilled water/water wetter. My bike ran significantly cooler.

I'd check a fuse on the fan though. Get a service manual for the bike.
