98 CBR 600F3 Smokin' Joes Edition?
My friend just purchased a 98 cbr600f3 Smokin Joes edition, purple, yellow and white... well of course I already dropped his bike in a parking lot next to my house, stalled it in second, and it bumped me right off the seat. I scratched up the right side fairing, not much else though, no cracks or anything. The main question I have is how rare is this edition bike? Does anyone know how many of these bikes were ever produced? I want to get him new fairings for it, but people keep telling me its a super rare paint scheme, and whatnot, so I want to knwo exactly what is up, so I dont get ripped. Thanks.

Hey Dave, long time no see. i saw your Z at drift showoff awhile back.
anyway....the smoking joes edition is somewhat rare because they were a limeted edition. there were alot around when they first made them though. I think that it will be very hard indeed to find original bodywork for it. I dont think the dealer will have it but its worth a try. If worse comes to worse, you have to get it custom painted. how bad is it? try these guys, they might be able to help you out. http://www.apexmoto.com

Just a guess but 800 sounds familiar. As in 800 editions made. Either that or 300. You're not going to have too much luck finding it and definetely not for cheap. What's $40 for a set of frame sliders now?

Hey Dave. I've got one myself bought it off the showroom window. I was told they only provided 1 per dealer if the dealer ordered one. Personally. I've only seen 3 .... Mine 1 modified not worth **** and 1 in the local Porsche dealer. I also can't put a value on it. Be careful though... They made a similar color in 1995. It is more jagged in color transition vrs. The 1998. A lot of people try to pass it on as a joes. Also they were only made in 600 cc. Some people bought the stickers and try to pass on others as a joes. Do your homework!!! I've never seen more than 3. So.... Take it for what's worth.
