For the past month the wipers on my GE8 are starting randomly. Sometimes it starts when I start the car but sometimes it doesn't. If I hit it to wipe only once it will go 5 or more times. If I use the spray it won't make the wiper start.

Any ideas?

It's getting power when it's not supposed to, something is sticking or leaking (current).

What can I do about it? Something simple like replugging the connections?

I forgot to mention but I just recently installed coilovers. I had to take apart some of the windshield wiper system for that.

Sounds like you pinched or unhooked a wire when you were installing the coilovers. Take the cowl parts off and check the wiring.

Finally got around to fix it and this was the problem. The plug wasn't fully seated. Strange that the symptoms would only occur when the car was hot
