Warranty???
Alright so I'm REALLY thinking about picking up a Fit. The only issue I have is I would definitely wanna lower it a little and get wheels. I'm worried about completely voiding my warranty in the process though. I wouldn't expect them to cover my aftermarket suspension or any damage related to it, but do you think they would drop the powertrain warranty? Thanks in advance. Please share any stories or experiences you owners with mods have had.

Haha, I was kind of afraid that might be the answer. Unfortunately the closest one is about 30miles but I think I'm going to go try to test drive a Fit this weekend. I just always like to go into those situations informed. I was really hoping for some first hand stories of someone having an issue normally covered by warranty and seeing if the mods affected the dealership handling the problem.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. I'm just wanting to have a decent looking ride, not going for performance with a Fit, haha. The only issue I could see is if I was SO low that my oil pan cracked or something stupid like that. Then I wouldn't blame them for not covering it. Thanks for the post

If you change your suspension and your engine blows you are covered by warranty, if your suspension arm breaks with your lowered fit then you have to pay for it. Another example is you put on a cold air intake and your motor hydrolocks you have to pay for it, but if you have a CAI and your door breaks you are covered by warranty. No one thing can void your entire warranty.

They can't drop the powertrain warranty because of aftermarket wheels and suspension. It's against federal law.
Now, if you put on a CAI and sucked up water resulting in engine hydrolock, then yes, they can void your engine warranty.
