Default resetting oil life monitor

my oil percentage went to 0%. i tried to reset it and i can only getit to read ---%. i followed the manual exactly. did it a few times. turn on the ignition hold the button and all that. should i call the dealer? i thought maybe disconnecting the battery. can anyone help me with this? Thank you in advance

No you shouldn't call the dealer. You should just do it right

When you hold the button for 10 seconds, it will blink. Release the button and hold it again until the oil life % resets.

Do it with the engine off.

turn the key on to the third position (one before starting) Than scroll threw your guage cluster until you find oil life! Than hold the button on the guage cluster untill it starts flashing. Than release and hold again it than will reset the light =P
