Non-honda manual transmission fluid for Honda Fit 2007
Hi everybody,
About to do our first MTF change on our new used 2007 Fit Sprort. Read a lot about different MTF and became curious about Redline and Amsoil as alternatives to the Honda Manual Transmission Fluid. Would you advise going with non-Honda fluid?
Thank you!

For some other cars Redline MTL seems to make shifting more smooth. Example: Toyota Echo/Yaris. Folks reported better winter performance.
Seems like folks also like it in Hondas, but I don't see such a resounding 'get redline!' message in my searches for Honda Fit. I just want my transmission to last and to function smoothly. My car has a very low mileage (40k) and no problems, so I don't have any issues to smooth out.

Honda MTF works just fine. All those other "enforcements" are just anecdotal falling for the hype of the other products no scientific tests have been done by any independent bodies.
