No A/C, serviced and new relays

No A/C, serviced and new relays
Vacuumed system and recharged, then compressor wont engaged. Pulled compressor relay and jumped --> compressor engaged. So I purchased several new relays (last one from Honda)...still no luck. I have 14V at the relay terminal and fuses are good. What gives????

Re: No A/C, serviced and new relays
1. Did the A/C work before you had it serviced (i.e., vacuum, recharged)?
2. There are more components in the circuit to engage the A/C compressor clutch; other than just the fuses, relay, and interior A/C control panel switch.
Even if under-dash fuse no. 10, under-hood fuse no. 11, A/C compressor clutch relay, and interior A/C switch were okay; it still needs the ECM/PCM to ground the A/C compressor clutch relay coil to allow power from under-hood Fuse No. 11 through to the A/C compressor clutch.
In addition, if there was an abnormally high or low pressure at the A/C pressure switch (pressure switch located in the condenser outline line), or the A/C pressure switch was faulty; the ECM/PCM will disengage the A/C compressor clutch.

1. AC had worked up until last fall, I thought that I had a leak and the system stopped working due to the leak. Prior (1 year) to that I had changed the compressor and desiccant bag. System vacuumed and recharged worked fine for approx. a year...
2. Ill double check the fuses but pretty sure that I pulled and checked ALL of the under dash fuses...just in case.
So the system was checked 2 weeks ago, vacuum pulled, 134 evacuated (13oz in the system per the Snap-on readout) and charged with 15oz of 134 (Snap-on AC rig). The catch? Since the compressor didnt engage the system was just loaded with 15oz. without operational compressor. Is that a problem?Tech says its now a bad compressor, now that his relay theory is toast. If compressor is bad, would it engage with the relay jumped??? I wouldnt think so. Thoughts? Really dont relish the though of another compressor swap, but it is looking easier after replacing engine mounts on my wife's VCM Ody...

Re: No A/C, serviced and new relays
so 13 oz came out and 15 went back in. that's not low enough to cause the compressor to not work. you can charge the system on the high side without the compressor or low side with it running, it wont hurt anything. do the fans run with a/c turned on? you can try taking the belt off and turning the compressor face by hand, not the pulley part but the front of the clutch. it should move fairly smoothly and not feel locked up. if you have a volt meter you could check power and ground where he relay goes. if you already changed the relays, and the compressor came on when you jumped it, you probably have a problem on the control side ( possible bad pressure switch, no ouput from the heater control panel, bad fuse box or pcm)

Finally put car in the air and checked connections: the electrical plug had come loose. Reconnected the connector, AC is ice cold... imagine that. Thx to all.
