Default Sat in a 2nd generation Fit yesterday

Unfortunately, was not able to take pictures.

What I noticed:

1. Map light
2. Stereo controls on a the steering wheel ( I am pretty sure this will be an option and no a standard feature)
3. The particular model I sat in had navigation (optional)
4. The seats felt a big more comfortable than the 06/07s.
5. No two tone interior. Completely black seats.
6. Brushed aluminum gauges with some funky looking needles.

The car itself seems very similar to the older model with a body and styling modifications.

Just thought I would share.

I just picked up an 08 on Saturday and it didn't have any of those features.

This is possibly the 09.

The OP doesn't say where he's from but with all those added features, it's bound to be the G2 Fit..

The second gen is more of an evolution of the first gen. So it is a complete model change but not as radical as say the current Civic and it's previous generation for example.

The 08's came out in Canada and the US which were G1.

The 08's in Japan are G2.

Yes it is supposed to be a complete model change as the OP noted:

you can get the navi option on the 07, you have to ask for it, you also can get the steering wheel audio controlls, you have to ask for it

there is no difference between the 07s and 08s, however the 09 is a bit different, but from what i understand thaty are keeping the L15 engine

i dont like the way the 09s look, and we are not getting the RS version, so i dont care

plus there is alots of goodies for the 07 right not, conversions, kits, supercharges, turbos, tons of suspension options, rims, spoilers, audio swaps

all kinds of stuff

i dunno about all that. how can you have a navigation option on a car that only has 2 head units? the base and sport?

as for the stereo controls, i don't think if you just "ask" they will have them.

My bad guys!

NOT THE 08 FIT. I SAT IN THE SECOND GENERATION FIT.

Atleast what I believe to be the second generation Fit.

The car had completely different body panels than the 07 Fit.

This was at focus group.

I was not able to take pics because it was a focus group and they were very strict on no bringing in phones and cameras.

The car itself did not look bad.

Basically looked like this but in the blaze orange color.

I wouldn't mind driving it.

sorry but there is no FACTORY nav option for the 07-08 USDM fits. unless you are talking about a dealer aftermarket installation of a double din dvd/navi 7in system.

It's a dealer installed HONDA accessory:
