fit oil change
is there a special tool (funnel ?) that helps facilitate the oil change in a Fit ?
the oil fill is positioned partially under the cowl … no way to upend an oil bottle …. too far under to get a funnel to stay ….
or is it just something you have to put up with ?
thanks
walter

Re: fit oil change
Most people use a funnel, available at any auto parts store, grocery store, or hardware store. You will have to choose which size and shape suits your purpose.

Grab a two liter coke or other soda bottle and cut it off. It works perfectly is FREE and you can put the cap back on to prevent drips when removing it.

ok …thanks everyone … I've been using a funnel, but it's still a PITA due to being under the cowl …
actually it's not all that bad to just pour straight from the bottle … but would be lots less messy if we were able to upend and let it pour "by itself" …. was hoping that there was a screw on angled funnel designed especially for the Fit …
too much to ask for… that Honda would designers would think of the techs coming along behind their brilliant ideas
thanks everyone .. that was intertwining

Re: fit oil change
You are welcome. Here is another truthful and practical suggestion. If your funnel is still hard to get the oil into the oil port, spend a little more for a funnel that has a large top diameter, and a short spout. You don't need to get the spout of the oil container under the cowl if the funnel is wide enough to make it easier to pour from outside the cowl.
My bet is that not even claymore is stupid enough to use his own suggestion, and I would bet money that he DOES NOT use a coke bottle.

Can't afford real tools, eh? Thought so. But thanks for confirming that I was wrong to say that you are not that stupid. Well done. I say he's not that stupid, he says "you're lying- yes I am!". Hilarious.

LOL I have more tools than you will ever have I actually used them and people PAID me for my expertise. But for you there is little call for troll tools belonging to a little person living under a bridge LOL.
