Finally installing seatbelts

Finally installing seatbelts
Ok I finally got to order two new seat belts from my dealer and will be installing them myself. My question is in order to turn off the airbag light Do I need to replace my srs unit even though my air bags didn't deploy. Or is it possible to reset the unit without having to replace it? Was going to try the paper clip trick but I can't seem to find the yellow plug under the steering wheel. I saw one but cant get it to unclip. Hopefully tomorrow when I install both seat belts and plug the negative battery cable back in when I'm done it will turn off by itself. But I'm already doubting it tho. Any input will help thanks in advance.!

I actually have my light on too and I was reading something very similar. I have not started to look for the yellow service plug though. I would suggest trying the 'fix itself' method, but then look for the plug some more. I know the dealership can reset it and they may do it for free. It really depends.

I got into a minor accident, which caused my seat belts to lock up. I've already installed them, only thing left is to turn off the airbag light..
I really hope there is a way to turn that light off without having to replace my srs module. It would save me 1000$. Was looking into buying a Honda data scanner off ebay, not to sure if that's gonna fix the light issue...

If the SRS module is fine, you should be able to reset it. I had my light go on before in my '02 Civic HX. I used to wires to connect into a harness that was under my steering wheel. I can't remember where I found the "how to" to do it. It was probably club civic, superhonda, or honda tech. Unfortunately it came right back on since I found out I had a bad module. So I let it go since in my state it doesn't affect any inspections. Car got totaled so I saved myself some money and hoped I didn't get into a serious accident. If I get a chance, I will see if I can find the how to.
