Re: Do you guys REALLY like the fit? (a2nswimmer)
Well my wife and I just signed the papers for a Vivid Blue Pearl LX last night. If the dealer can do a swap with another dealership we should get it next week. If not then our name is already on one that is on the boat from Japan right now.
She needed something for commuting to work about 100Km's round trip each day and the car fit the bill perfectly. Wicked gas mileage, utility and it was a decently fun car to drive. I was able to toss it around pretty well.
Could not justify the extra $2500 the dealer wanted for the sport though. I can do without cruise control and I wasn't buying this car for looks anyway.
Only option I added was keyless and we got them to throw in Floor Mats.. haha we're such great negotiators.
Anyway, the salesguy told us that some dealerships around Ontario can't keep the cars on the lots while others are just ditching them to other dealerships because nobody wants them. So I guess feeling are really mixed on it. Personally I like it for what it is. A cheap econobox that is essentially the new civic.

The Fit works out great for me : ) Coming from a land rover discovery I still feel that there is enough space and I also feel my pocket thicker as it saves me on gas(about 33mpg opposed to 14mpg) and almost 20 a month cheaper on insurance.
So thats a big ol' thumbs up from me

gee, maybe the magic seats, weight and gas mileage. Not everyone on honda tech are twenty soemthign year olds that have nuthin to worry bout cept saving up their next paycheck for the next part. Lots of them have familys to think abotu and stuff to carry and u jsut cant carry in ur stripped civic.
I personally think it damn cute and im defetly gunan get one when i can.

And Mr. Bean drove an original Mini, which I also find cool.

Re: (jetydosa)
By the time I end up buying one, the "sold the Fit" threads should be starting--thus why I find the "JDMGD3/GD3forever/myfitisthebestever" usernames so silly.
Anyone criticizing its power output is retarded. The car is being marketed in a way that attempts people to re-think the "small" car. Think of how much is being said about the cargo space in this thing (which is the primary appeal to me).
I doubt Honda cares what the average 20 year-old H-T kidiot thinks about its lack of mAdVtAkHP!!!1!1one!1!!!

I actually like the Fit.
It can be sporty with the right attributes.
The sport package actually increases the looks.
If I were to get one, one of the first things I would do is definately lower it and get a nice set of wheels.

Well neither of those are really an alternative to the fit now are they. Not even close to the same price, and not as versatile.

of course not... wasn't trying to say they were.. I'm just saying I think the fit is funky lookin' and if I was gonna pay for a brand new car it wouldn't be what I was looking for.

Re: Do you guys REALLY like the fit? (plugg'd)
At first I thought the Fit was ugly, but now that I've seen some of the modified Fit's on here I'm really starting to like them. If I was in the market for a new car right now, I would deffinatly look into one. I also think out of the competetors cars, the Fit is the best looking.
