2007 Honda Fit MP3 Aux Jack
I purchases a 2007 Certified Honda Fit Sport model a few days ago. I have tried pluging my ipod into the Aux Jack and then hit the aux button but get nothing thru the car system. Do you have any advice and are there others who have had the same situation?

Is the volume cranked up on the iPod? You have to have it pretty much as loud as it will go before you start to hear it out of the OE radio.

I used a new nano with mine; maybe that's why? Or maybe my aux input is not performing 100%.

I'm not really sure. I went out and plugged it in then hit the Aux key and turned the iPod up full volume and it worked. I am hoping it was just my stupidity the 1st time and that this is not one of those intermitant problems...we'll see.

The auxiliary input is a standard 1/8" stereo headphone input. You just need what's called a "male-to-male stereo mini plug" No iphone connection kit required. However, all auxiliary provides is the analog sound signal. You won't be able to forward or reverse through track listings like some iPod connection kits let you. If you have an iPhone, you will actually have to buy a specialized version of the mini plug that has a smaller diameter sheath around the end you plug into your phone. Apple deliberately made the area around where the plug goes too narrow for standard mini plugs. That's a **** off because the cable you could have gotten for 99 cents at the 99 cent store will be $20 at the apple store.
As far as the iPod not working at first- recent iPods have software that disable sound going through the jack when they detect unplug/plug. So you may need to hit play more than once, and increase the volume (on your iPod) when you first connect it. Depends on your software version.

Re: (Tight Fit)
you can get the slim profile male to male plugs (for iphone and ipod touch) pretty much anywhere nowadays...
target, best buy, circuit city, etc.
but you can get the for cheap on the internet...
ebay, eforcity.com, etc.
or you can get the iphone/ipod touch jack adapter and use a regular male to male cord. its like a buck fifty on eforcity...

Re: (Tight Fit)
Your local Circuit City should have this: http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd...ode=3
Would probably come out to the same price as ordering online since they charge ~$5 for shipping.
