Where to buy Head Studs/Bolts for my 1999 CR-V
So, long story short, a shredded timing belt led to me having to replace a few valves on my CR-V. Everything is ready to go back together, escapt that I cannot find anywhere to buy head studs/bolts specific to the CR-V.
Anyone know where I can grab some? I was told that I should replace the bolts with a new set when putting the head back on. Don't really need to go ARP style or anything, just need a fresh set so I can get this thing back up and running! Thanks in advance!

sometimes online dealership sites sells it cheap too.....
hondapartsunlimited, majestic honda, dch honda, etc you could also search for online prices then
print it, most dealerships would price match it if their price is a bit pricey.
good luck!

I heard this, but also heard the opposite lol, so I figured I'd just do the latter since I need this 100% reliable since its my equipment hauler.
I saw that there were some eBay sellers selling ARP's, but they were around $140. The oem ones I got were $112. Plus the eBay sellers (that I found at least,) were not 100% in their description (titles said for both B20 and B20 vtec,) which I had a feeling wasn't right so I didn't bother. Thanks for the heads up though man!

well, there's not really an opposite. head bolts are either tty or tts. these are not tty. they can be reused without worry as long as the threads haven't been distorted.
but that's cool. you wanna be on the safe side.
happy motoring

Well, she is back together and running pretty great! Thanks for the help guys!
I had another quick question. I have a little bit of a "whining" noise going on (seems to be somewhere in my timing belt cover.) Would putting too much tension on the timing belt contribute or be the main cause to this noise? Or possibly having the tensioner bolt too tight?

the tensioner places tension accordingly. that is not to be adjusted. the bolt sits against the race. the bearing spins independently from it. shouldn't really matter.
likely the cause is the belt or pulley rubbing on the inside of the timing cover. it'll wear itself out until it finds it's happy spot

Cool, I was kind of thinking that something might be rubbing on the timing cover. Ill roll with that advice and see what happens! Thanks!!!
