Default RD1 CR-V Coilover Setup Combinations

I did a lot of search on what fits the RD1 CR-V but typical hondatech and the internet comes with mix and unsure results. If you cannot afford the already well priced YONAKA coilovers which is made for the car then these aftermarket coilover combination will work:

You need an aftermarket height adjustable coilovers because they have a generic shock design so parts can be interchanged.

Front Coilovers: From integra Type R DC2, full setup. 12kg spring rate works best for the V.

Rear Coilovers: Shocks/monotube from Honda Prelude BB6 (they are 50mm longer than the ITR), bottom mount and top hats from integra Type R. 8kg spring rate works best for the V.

I have this setup on my CRV with 17" R34 GTST wheels wrapped with 235/45/R17 which gives 2 fat finger clearance between tyre and guards at the highest setting leaving 20mm portion, on the bottom of the shocks to screw into the bottom mount, on both front and rear. The car sits level and you have a choice to fully dump it if you wish.

I was fortunate enough for a suspension distributor to let me dig around his shop to see what fit as they didn't have listing for RD1. AUD to USD is also pretty crap at the moment so that detered me buying from overseas.

Also, I do not suspect that it is dangerous from interchanging parts because it is a double wishbone suspension (macpherson setup puts radial loads onto the shock tube). All aftermarket coilovers are actually pretty generic with the exeption of top hats and bottom mounts to suit.

Car looking Good braah!,
Where did you get the Coilovers From?

Are those Skyline wheels?

Also a good option is function and Form type 1's, which were just released for the gen 1 crv's!

if you upgraded the springs to a higher spring rate then you should be ok. but if you didn't, the cr-v weighs quite a bit more than the integra so naturally it won't ride as good as cr-v suspension.

i feel like saving for the correct parts the first time is more beneficial than hacking lighter weight vehicle parts together just to save money

I have/had the yonaka coilovers on my 99 crv, I liked the adjustability but the ride was pretty rough and with them being a nonadjustable damping coilover nothing could be done. Just a personal review for potential buyers of this brand. To the OP very nice V!

I'm new to this thread but I'm in need off a Lil bit of info I'm very familiar with fitment done build countless civics already but now I've moved onto a 2000 crv 4wd manual 144k for a steal

So here's my master plan I just recently bought 2010 camaro 20s
For $100 I jumped on the deal quicker than ever just to resell due to them being 5x20 and the V is 5x114.3
Then it hits me just buy converters y not got the wheels for a crazy deal
Here's were it gets crazy the only converter I would b able to run is
20mm or larger and the camaro stocks are 20x8/9 so the converter would make it 20x8.75/9.75 on the V
That will poke so much and I don't want a Mexi-flush look either
So here's what I'm thinking to make it work and would like your guys suggestion of any thing
OK so wheels fronts 20×8 I'm thinking 215/30/20 tires rears 20x9 225/30/20 in my head I'm thinking it'll b a equal stretch look all the way around due to the whhels width being different
The wheels and tires overall size would b equivalent to a 18 with 245/40/18 tires on them I've compared them already side by side
I already know I'm gona have to camber the f $#k outa front and back but that's cools it's not gona b my daily soon going for something crazy and different to do with it
So here's were I really need help I'm not honnestly up to spending the money for full suspension since I've already got the wheels and the crv for really cheap
I've bin doing some research and found that 2002 accord struts work and my buddy has a pair that he'll sell me for for damn near pebbles and than ordering some swift 30k 5" tall Springs and putting some eBay coilover sleeves I have to adjust the height it's sounds like it will work but I'm not sure I've never messed with fitment on a crv before so if any of you guys don't think it won't work or it will or if u have a better idea of a suspension setup lmk
