I'm back with a new(er) CRV, going in a different direction.
Hey guys. Some of you may remember me, some may not. I had a slammed (down 10") 98 Crv making 400+ hp out of a built jdm gsr pushing 20lbs.
Well after a couple years of other things (boosted ek hatch, odyssey, slammed g35) I'm back in a crv.
2003 Crv, k24 with a 5 speed. This one is going up. I ordered the Dobinson lift kit, I'm gonna make some spacers and I've already installed with quite a bit of trimming and massaging (couldn't wait) my new wheel package. Here's a before pic when I bought it a couple weeks ago.
The new wheel package is a ProComp 16x8 wheel with -6 offset, plus a 7mm spacer. The tire is a 245/70r16 General Grabber AT2. It took a lot of trimming and massaging but they don't rub much anymore. Can't wait for the lift to come in.

Looking good, man!
A quick question, is that a Weathertech bug deflector? does it make a lot of wind noise when you drive?
I currently have Weathertech window deflectors on my Gen 2, and I like how they don't really make noise even when driving on the freeway.
Love those wheels!

Aint nobody got time for stock cars
hahahaha. heres what i was driving in the mean time.
I have no clue, and havent driven with it off to have any type of comparison for noise. I generally dont like bug deflectors, but i sorta like this one.
Anyone know where the ecu is located in this thing? ive tried googling the hell out of it, and its not in the general honda location (passenger footwell). i need to know if i can K Pro this bitch or not. Its slow as hell and i need some more boost in my life.

Some updates :
ECU is located behind the glove box.
The dobinson lift is canceled. After reading about how people are waiting up to a year (i was quoted 2-3 weeks) i got ahold of rocky road outfitters, they confirmed that stock is difficult to get and suggest OME. i asked for a refund and they immediately complied. very quick negotiation.
Next up, im going to make some spacers. Stayed tuned for that.

TheGentleman's thread and NJ1001's threads have some good info on the trails and tribulations of lifting that particular model. It's not as easy as the previous gen
Berz out.

Well i went with the OME rear 1.5" lift springs, and theres a definate difference. Not only in ride height, but in overall ride quality. The rear springs were likely stock, 326,000 KM old, weak springs. Every mod i do thats supposed to make the ride worse, is making it better, hahaha. I also installed a 32" light bar in my lower grille. it fits PERFECT. touches each end of the grill opening. I had to cut out the grille itself, but thats not a big deal for me. I may make a mesh grille to go over the entire opening, but maybe not. Heres a couple updated photos.

Thanks tony. Boost will be in its future. Im going to go for a low boost quick spool setup in this one. I only want to make ~300WHP. Its under powered from factory and with the big *** tires on it, its not helping. I cant even keep up to a completely stock d16 non vtec ek. lol

It appears it's been awhile since I updated my thread. I have since cut out all of the plastic area around my tires. It doesn't rub at all now, except a tiny bit on the body at full lock. I also upgraded from the class 2 hitch to a class 3. Leaps and bounds better.

32" 180 watt flood light bar. i have a combo spot/flood as well in the same specs (basically the reflectors are different) that i may switch to. I also have 4.25x4.25 spots that i could just stick behind my grille to give me better distance, not that ive had any complaints on visibility.

Got a 5th rim and put a spare tire on it that I had. Different brand tire but it's a full size spare.

For this particular model I haven't looked into it. Not to mention I haven't seen anyone swap out there K for a J. This will require some wiring modifications I'll bet. I wish I could find someone to donate a CRv...oh well I'll wait until I have room.
