Default Honda crv transmission problems please help!!!

I'm working on a 05 honda crv. Car came in with flashing d icon and no foreward gears, had reverse. I drained fluid, fluid smelled like rotten eggs, I assumed tranny was cooked. Bought a transmission from junkyard, it came out of an 03 crv. It too has reverse, no foreward gears. I contacted junkyard and bought the computer out of the 03 and swapped it out thinking where the 03 had one less solenoid in the transmission maybe I could swap ecu and have key programmed. Dealership said they cannot program key because the codes will not clear. The transmission codes are p0748, p0778, p0798

Pressure control linear solenoid A electrical for p0748
Same thing for solenoid b and solenoid c

I have checked fuses and cannot find anything there. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thx

Before you replace any part you must know why you are replacing it, you failed to do this and your going to spend a lot more time and money trying to figure out what the original problem was just so you can figure out why this unit does not work.

What were the codes before you decided to replace the transmission? The codes you have posted sound like incorrect wiring or flat out incompatibility. The chance of 3 solenoids failing at the same time is nearly impossible.

You need to provide as much information as possible, including the transmission part number that is for the car, and the one you put in. Transmissions are very specific, and you should not assume because your car has a 4 or 5 year production run that any transmission will be compatible. Even if they are similar physically and electronically, the ratios may be different which may affect gear slip codes and the vehicle speed. The strategies for controlling the solenoids may also be updated, and various valve body modifications may have been made that when paired with the wrong TCM may cause undesirable results. They may even have the same transmission code. This alone does not guarantee a correct fit.

Is your unit FWD or AWD?

As a final note, it is usually wise to consider rebuilding a failed unit. There is no telling what may or may not be wrong with a used or rebuilt replacement.

It looks like they are incompatible you're gonna have to find an 05 automatic 5spd. I believe the o3 models were 4sp autos.
