Honda CRV AC troubleshooting
Hi, I have a '03 CRV and my AC compressor stop working. Following bad voices coming from the original one, I had it replaced last summer to a new aftermarket compressor, that is currently seems not to engage. As the compressor is only one year old, I suspect that the thermal switch could go wrong. I checked the fuses, relays, continuity all good.
Question 1: If I direct 12V from the battery to the 1 pin connector of the AC compressor and the compressor clutch still not engaging, can I still hope that the thermal switch is wrong or it will in all cases be a broken clutch?
Question 2: In order to get to the thermal switch (it is on the top of the compressor), which is the easiest way to access: by uninstalling the generator or by uninstalling the front bumper and the radiator?
Thanks in advance.
