Re: d16 cr-v
crv's come with b20's. Which is a dual cam engine with a 2.0 displacement.
d16's come in civics and are single cam engines with a 1.6 displacement.
maybe you meant does the the b16 head fit on a b20?

Re: d16 cr-v
yes, it'll fit. it's precisely the opposite of putting a b series into a civic.
as for getting it moving? axles are going to be somewhat of a head scratcher. and trans-wise if your civic and the crv is an auto.. i can't advise you on any possibility of getting the crv to properly integrate with a civic auto tranny. i can say i've only seen a handful of people try to swap b series auto into auto civics and out of them i've only even heard of one being functional.
furthermore, if you have to inquire on anything about obd conversion or any other basic mechanical ordeal you may encounter, you are in way over your head and i'd recommend eating ramen and buying an already running car.. or start memorizing bus schedules.

Re: d16 cr-v
4x100 front hubs will fix the axle issues. why not go the whole way? lol
yes it will fit and since you have the civic youll have everything you need other than possibly some motor mounts might need some modification. im sure you can find another civic for 500 bux. or just get anonther motor for the crv(im assuming its no good?) you can aslo use a motor from an acura integra.

Re: d16 cr-v
Just find another civic like yours and swap your motor in. Civics can be had for like $500 with a motor. Not worth the money and effort for the swap.

Re: d16 cr-v
Doesn't really matter why he wants to do it, or if it would be a bad idea.. he just asked if it fits. The answer to that is YES, you could fit the engine, but as mentioned you may have drive train issues.
Wonder if the Civic could be repaired using suspension or whatever is damaged from the CRV for an easier project?
