Default CR-Vicious CRV Headlight Projector Retrofit simple!!!

I decided to put new headlights on my daily beater that I put miles on. I am in no way shape or form a professional at this but it was very easy with the G3 t projectors n h4 adapters. ran the heat for 15 mins and seperated the lenses. I'll post more info after I finish the second one

This model is what I used and I have not researched any retrofit reviews on them
eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...979888&alt=web
Steps:
1: Get headlight heated in a box or oven for 15 mins. I've read 230 degrees but I just put heat gun on low setting
2: After 15 mins pull headlight out with gloves and pry at the lenses with flathead screw driver. Once it gives continue pulling the glue will seperate or razor blade it at the stretch
3: Once lenses is off set aside and pull the center reflection thing off
4: Get your projector canon ready and place into the headlight and put your h4 adapter bracket on the back so it gets aligned
5: Place projector lock ring and locker on and start to tighten. Once it gets tuff I got rather large needle nose to grip and tighten down
6: Once tight at the canon end place lenses firm on the housing and place again for 15 mins inside oven or box and start heating
7: After 15 mins pull headlight and start to work the lense tight onto the housing and left cool
8: go meet girls with your sexy demon eyes

I ordered the demon eyes with white angel ring. Its stupid easy to do this I always thought it would be a pain in the ***. With these h4 adapter plates it centers the projector canon and tigthens down with these center rings

****Anyone wanna share pics of their intercooler piping and front mounts?****

where did you get these projectors? can you post a link? what bulb do the projectors use? I have been having a hard time finding projectors that are not a h1 bulb. I want to do projectors and retain a h4 bulb interface so I can have a high/low option

Totally show your setup its crazy how easy it was. Here I was thinking it would have been a pita. Everyone should do this I have even seen cheaper kits sell for 44 bucks on amazon. I bought these cause I didn't want to experiment with different combos. Now that I got the hang of it I wanna do more lol

So I hooked everything up in a test today to make sure it all worked. The CFL I purchased in white the demon eye is red and they also included a connector that connected seamless with the factory wiring. I was really happy with that. Its almost like this kit was made for the crv. Bare in mind this is during the day and damn what a difference.

yeah these ones they have you don't have to cut or anything. I got a nice kit because its my daily and I want quality, i didn't want to try to piece it together either. I am experimenting with some ebay hid stuff on my other car. I still have to open my other headlight, still have to buy paint, and still waiting on some stuff to show up.

Sorry can you please explain the functions of this setup? I've done a couple HID kits before, so I'm curious as to how you have three different modes on the light. It looks like you could make the projector red, the ring white and then ignite the ballast all separately.

Also, on the topic of harness', does that integration kit have function to make the hi-low work, as well as running lights?

Dont forget to disable your DRLs, because it will blow your ballast with too low voltage/wattage. Should be able to just pull the fuse, and forget about it.

i was not aware of that, thanks. how that work if i am running an led drl? and on our crvs we have the white drl as well as the turn single illuminated with them. do they both need to be off?

I mean i don't see how a separate bulb is going to affect it. are you sure you aren't thinking about vehicles which use the headlamp or highbeam as the drl?

Your DRL is the dim headlight you get, when you leave all your lights off, and pull your CRV from Park, or drop the hand brake in manual models.

This only affects HID kits, because they expect 12v with 35amps, while DRLs give less than what it needs to properly ignite. This can be commonly recognized as the guy who drives down the street with flickering HID head lights, because he didnt disable DRL AND did not engage his low-beams.

i even went to see about disabling it, the two fuse spots that's say drl (15 and the one 2 over?)under the dash don't even have a fuse in them haha. but this seems important to clear up. my headlights themselves do not come on ever unless i switch them. are you Canadian, they have them by law.

From what I can tell, US crvs don't have drls - it is not a requirement here.

I had DRL's on mine, but it was rigged up by the previous owner using a relay. Took it all out since I hate driving with my headlights on. If it's cloudy or raining, I'll turn it on manually.

yeah haha. that is good to know, I had honestly never heard of that. anyway I got a lot done on mine. painted my housing and got the projectors in, just letting everything set for a day or 2 while I begin my work week. had to do no cutting, no trimming of my shrouds. I might dremel down some of the tabs on the lights so I can get a big wrench on the lock ring and make sure its really tight. halos I got were **** and one snapped in half so I bailed on those. not a big fan anyway. and too lazy to wire more **** up.

Doug200t, did you have to bend the clips that hold the lightbulbs in? On mine I had to bend them upwards and latch them onto the actual housing since the rear part of the retrofit stuck out too far.

The Morimoto M1 Mini is a H1 bulb but it's a Bi-Xenon projector housing. Meaning the bulb moves physically back and forth to change the output pattern. Bi-Xenon is the keyword you need to look for if you want highs and lows in one bulb.

The X lens? I looked at that. I'm really interested to see your cutoff, I've seen some pics and it's pretty nice from what I've seen. I just grabbed the H1 mini from TRS with the XB35 bulbs in 5000K. Just went with the setup that's most used. I'm also leaving my reflectors... um... reflective LOL. I like the look better than flat black. With the shroud on properly it shouldn't emit light from anywhere but the projector anyway.
