Default Accord coilovers

I know this has been mentioned plenty of times before but a lot of threads I see are just people saying don't do it or being negative about it. Pretty much just want to know which year coilover sleeves will work on my 99 crv . I have kyb gr2 struts in as well. Don't want to replace them so just wanting to know if there will be any complications to look out for if I were to just put on coilover sleeves. Thanks guys

i dont see the big problem with running them, been doing it for 5+ years. mine are 94-97 ones and it rides ok. im sure it could ride better but cant ask for more considering what i paid for them. im running civic struts up front and stock crv ones in the rear. with better struts im sure it would ride better.

Would my front struts not work? Or is the ride height just going to be off

my stock crv struts would bottom out when I lowered it as far as I wanted. the ek struts have a shorter body and lower strut mount so it lowers the coilover mount and gives has more stroke before bottoming out. if you did some extended tophats it would do the same thing

I really do want to keep my gr2s.. How much did you drop it before u had issues bottoming out.. I'm looking to try and get an inch gap between fender n wheel.. Is this possible with the coilover sleeves n my gr2?

I guess it would depend on tire size as well. heres when I first lowered it many moons ago with stock crv struts on 225/45/r17s with an inch or so of gap and it rode ok. bottomed out more than I would have liked but I figured it was old struts plus overly lowered vehicle.

heres current (like just stepped outside work and took pics) with civic struts on 205/40/r17s with about the same gap, maybe alittle less. its lowered more to compensate the smaller tires but has more travel than before. the back still bottoms out so extended top hats are in the super near future and then the whole car is getting lowered to no fender gap.

Well here's my car.. Planning on keeping these stocks for awhile. Hopefully there won't be a problem if I used just the accord sleeves with my shocks. But that drop is perfect. Looks even better currently. But i just don't want the car to be too slammed since I'm usually loading the car up with kids n groceries -_-

What are you using for the rear struts? The rear lower control arms are not the same as the civics. The rear struts are almost like the ITR's.

A friend of mine has some oem 96-00 civic springs and shocks. Will this fit my ride? Problems?
