Default 99 crv door lock actuator

why is it that, when it gets cold, my lock doesnt work? (central lock)
but when you press the lock and unlock thingy inside....it works...
can someone tell me whats up, or how to fix it...
i mean, if the actuator is the problem, then it should lock/unlock at all
when i lock/unlock it inside right?

The individual relays could be wearing out to a point that the solenoids are not getting enough current delivered to the solenoid for the right duration

If its during the cold months its obvious when you get in your car and turn on the heat it creates moisture and condensation inside the door and covers the lock mechanism. When you get out of the car the moisuture freezes and thus freezes the mechanism. I have the same problem on my CRV.

Unlocking from the inside, outside or electronically with a remote, there are different linkages involved so one portion will work but not the other mostly due to adjustment misalignments due to normal wear and tear and plastic parts wearing out, some due to dirt and dust preventing full travel and yes, lack of lube or old grease type lube getting too hard and blocking good movement.
