97 crv.. problem! :( ....... is it tranny fluid or oil leak?
Hey honda tech..
Long short story, I just bought a CRV this past Thursday and Im having a leak problem lol. Before purchasing this car, I notice on the bottom of the Radiator was leaking a bit. It is the small line that (Im assuming) connects to the transmission? I had the dealership fix the problem before leaving the lot. When the salesrep drove the crv out, one of the techs came out to check on the transmission dip stick while I was walking towards the car. He showed me the stick and yes it was full. Thinking the car was good I decided to buy it! 120xxx for $3000!!!
Took the car home and had it set in the garage till the next day for a oil change. Now before I did anything I checked if there was any leak on the garage floor and there wasn't but after I did the oil change and took it out to town I notice there was a small leak at the malls parking lot! Same at Target, Same at work! Its just small drips but I was scared and thought it was the oil filter not tighten enough!
After checking under the car, the filter was tighten and no leaks coming from it. The oil dip stick show full. No oil sign from anything, block or top BUT the oil pin was somewhat wet. Same as the driver side axle and the AWD motor(thing that connects down towards the rear wheels to make awd)! Then I checked my transmission fluid dip stick and it showed empty!
Now where on earth can it be leaking? I took two photos of where it leaks (Yellow circles)
Thanks if ya can help!!!

check your oil filter. all the spots you circled are where the oil collects when you change the oil filter and some drips down. sometimes if not tightened enough, the oild filter will back off and drip oil. i've seen motors 3qts low due to a loose filter. be sure the drain plug is tight too.
