2007 CRV Rear Wiper Motor Woes
My wife's CRV's rear wiper motor decided to short out apparently blowing the fuse. I replaced it with a refurb part and the fuse doesn't blow anymore, but the motor won't turn off. Bad replacement part?

The symptoms (i.e., blown fuse previously, now running all the time) indicate a short in the (+) power wire (for example: another power wire touching the power wire to the rear wiper motor).

So why wouldn't the fuse just keep blowing instead with the new motor? The old motor was definitely dead. After originally replacing the fuse the motor would only make a couple very slow sweeps before blowing the fuse. I have another motor to try, but if this doesn't work where do I start tracking this down in the wiring?

Nobody knows? I know I'm not the only one who's had this problem since the part is out of stock pretty much everywhere.

Turned out to be a bad replacement part. Thanks for all the help. This place was hell of a lot more helpful 10 years ago.
