TL wheels on Gen 1 fitment
Anyone run TL wheels (17" x 8") on a Gen 1. I have searched through out the internet to no avail.
I test fit them on my V with no tires and it was a really tight fit. I am concerned about the tires rubbing on the backside. I would like to run 215 55 17s to be safe but most tire manufacture websites do not recommend a 215 on an 8" rim. Looks like I will have to go with 225s.
If all else fails I can run some wheel spacers but I would really prefer not to. Personally I am not a fan of wheels sticking out past the fenders. Any insight would be great before I buy tires.

Re: TL wheels on Gen 1 fitment
First off if the car isnt lowered, i cant imagine it rubbing. I have 225/55s on 17" +48 torques and it rubs on the upper fender liner on quick dips in the road. My truck is lowered ( see pics in the Ground control coils for 1 gen crv post) no spacers, my complete setup is listed there. ill take a couple extra pics, but the wheels sit very nicely with the fenders.

Nope its not lowered.
Thanks for the link with the blue V.
I know alot of people are running 225s on a 7" rim, I was just a little paraniod about an 8" rim.
