1st Gen CRV B20 Fluids brake coolant transmission differential oil
Okay as you all may Know I've been resurrecting a poorly treated V for the past few months.
I'm at the point where I need to buy fluids for the vehicle and I figure others may have the same questions and like me don't want to search the service manual or htech forums for hours looking for the right numbers.
for the 1st gen crv and all of the fluids involved does anyone know the amounts we will need? I'd like to know exact as for the most part I will be buying OEM Fluids and my local stealership (that i used to work for) charges cost+cost+cost+arm+leg for just a pint of brake fluid and I'd rather take my money online than feed that beast.
so here's the things I need numbers on. Edit I grabbed the service manual
How much anitfreeze coolant do you need to buy if everything is dry? A/T 6.2 US QT overhaul, 4.1 US QT coolant change ; M/T 6.3 US QT overhaul, 4.2 US QT coolant change
How much Oil does it take? 4 US QT change with filter, 4.9 engine overhaul
How much brake fluid do I need to flush/change the brake lines?
Clutch lines and DOT 3 fluid? My clutch lines were nearly empty and the whole system took about 16-8 oz.
How much Honda MTF does the 4wd Manual tranny take? 1.8 US QT change, 2.2 US QT overhaul
How much Dual Pump Fluid does the rear diff take? 1.1 US QT
How much Power Steering Fluid does the system take? 0.9 US QT / 28.8 Ounces
Thanks for any and all Info. I'll update this post with the answers for future search-ability

Re: 1st Gen CRV B20 Fluids brake coolant transmission differential oil
from what ive been reading
CVT fluid was spec'd when the CRV first came out. Once Honda started having to replace rear diff's under warranty they decided that CVT was not up to the task. Dual Pump fluid was introduced and eventually replaced by Dual Pump 2.
