ok so i have a 2003 honda crv with 187984 miles on it. Now a oil problem has started ben going on for a while now wanna say maybe a year or less. So lets say i do a full oil change filter an alll about 2-3 months with the new oil in the problem will start showing an what i mean by that is lets say im getting on to an on ramp of a highway an ill give it some gas an ill feel the car jerk very little back an forth all the way threw vtec an once im in the higher rpms it will go away.so i did some research an found out that the pcv valve likes to go an will burn alot of oil. So i changed the valve an put new oil an filter an i wanna say today would make the oil thats in there 2-3 months old .So today while im driving on the highway everythings going great until i needed to give it some gas an the car went into like limp mode wouldn't rev past 3k so i pulled over at a gas station to check the oil level an the dip stick was dry lol like wtf?? so i added 2 an half quarts an she was fine again but i wanna know whats going on with this car .. if anyone can help me out an (BTW) i use 5w-20 or 30 pennzoil or valvoline maxlife ..

check valve clearence and compression, i ended up changing the piston and oilrings. Oilrings where stuck and couldnt Work well. All that because of age and a bad behavior from pre-owners not changing the oil frequently enough.

I also remachined my cylinderhead and added new gaskets all over incl. valvegrinding..
Everything is fine now, but its not cheap if you cant do it yourself
