Our group is a North American group so feel free to join and find others from your region. We started the group today, I branched off from our Off-Road Subaru group so that I can find other make soft-roaders who have the same interests.

Had a package arrive the other day
- Full race A/C friendly manifold
- Full race downpipe (will need to modified to fit)
- Full race edition Tial wastegate
- Garrett T3T4e 60trim .63A/R turbo
- DeatschWerks 550cc injectors (not pictured)
Still need:
- Hondata
- Intercooler + Piping
- Snorkel setup + custom enclosed intake
- BOV
- 3" exhaust + Muffler
- Adjustable Fuel reg
Optional:
- Bigger TB
- Skunk2 Intake Manifold.
**** costs f**king heaps so probably just going to acquire the rest of the parts over time and try and get it in sometime next year. That's the plan anyway.

Random question and I don't know if it's been answered here or another thread, and I apologize if it has been. But... Has anyone tried to use coilovers for an Integra Type R on the crv?
Just purchased a 2000 crv and have a set of coilovers I bought for my ITR before it was totalled. I plan on giving it a shot but figured I'd ask before I started taking old suspension off and such. I want to wind them up as high as I can then add spacers to get it to where I want it to sit. Thanks for any help/ advice.

Re: *Official H/T OFFROAD/LIFTED CR-V thread!*
so many different opinions and answers as to what lift kit or concept to lift a RD1...reading and reading and more reading of others who think they have the right setup, yet all had to do minor or major 'refab' work. whether the fab work is to do with the trimming of plastic in the tire well, and/or, 'fabbing' custom spacers to make the ride height to desired height, and how the comfort of the ride is....seems all to 'iffy' to me. plain and simple, lift springs or spacers to increase ride height? i'm already sold on cragar soft 8s 15x7 with 6mm or 8mm spacers, just want to know about the lifting...most comfort and stability. thank you for reading and your replies!
There is no "plain and simple." It's friggin crv - a tall civic.
It was not meant to be lifted. It was meant to be driven by your grand parents and soccer moms to the grocery store.
You'll have to make your own opinion on how you want to lift it since you've read about all the options that are available to you, but don't expect it to go without a hitch. You Will have issues, whether major or minor. If you don't want problems - leave the car stock. It's a car after all, not a truck.

Kiseliok is correct... There's no right or wrong and there are a few options. I was in the same boat as you Kenkun. I wanted to get this look with my wife's CRV that I took over after getting her a new car. I read the posts, asked question after question and then finally went with the body spacer option (you can see my post a few pages back)... So far, I have not had any issues other than the shop that did the work was not able to get the car aligned that well and at about 65/70MPH, the front end shakes more than it should. I need to go get that looked at but I've been in and out of town for about a month and the car has been sitting for the most part.
However - I love the look of the car. Much better than a standard, boring CRV... But as Kiseliok stated - it's a CRV... Even if new - the ride on the first GENs were not great, they were sort of loud when it came to road noise, and were not the most comfortable car when driving long distances. What they were is damn reliable - period. AND my car always made some kind of noises or squeaks when turning - still does a little. I have not cut any trim or anything. I didn't want to have to do any of that. And, I really have no rubbing - however, it does rub slightly on the front passenger side if at full turn.
For me, I put on 215/75/15 All-Terrian tires and the ride is as good if not a tad better than before (until I get to 60-70MPH)... I did put on new rear struts but they are basically stock replacements as the original ones were a little worn after 13/14 years. The new tires really grip the road with the FWD. I'm happy that I did it and I was going to post some new pics that I took the other day but I lost my phone that I took them on. So, I'll have to take some more a tad later.
Hope some of this info helps. I ended up spending more money than I originally had planned but oh well, the CRV looks great. After I got it all done, I ended up painting all the trim, bumpers, window trim, etc.. I then detailed the hell out of it for about 2 weeks. I washed it, used Iron X on it to strip contaminants, clay bared it twice, used compound on it twice to really get all spots, specks, swirls out of the paint, pre-waxed, and then waxed it. The car looks fantastic for a 14 year old car and paint.
Anyway, good luck.

Re: *Official H/T OFFROAD/LIFTED CR-V thread!*
just lifted my crv on custom 2" front and 2.5" rear spacers. loving the lift and cant wait to pick up some wheels and tires. the ride is great even on factory struts. my only problem is that im dealing with a pretty bad vibration at around 20 mph. mainly in second gear (5 speed RTawd). im thinking its due to aftermarket front axles because i did feel it before the loft but it was very slight and tolerable, now its just much more pronounced. any have any input on this?

I had replaced my 2006 crv with aftermarket CV joints and shaft and had the same vibration problem. Once we installed OEM parts, vibration was gone

I just kind of learned to deal with it as I never drive @ 20mph for longer than a second or two.
Depending on the wheel style, you might need a spacer up front to clear the caliper, but if it's oem style, you don't have to worry about it.
Yep.. might have to do that at some point, but for not the vibration is relatively negligible.

this is how it sits now.. stock front, heavily loaded in the rear (2.5" spacer)

What's the biggest tire with an unlifted & stock 15" rims I can fit?
I prefer to not run spacers or anything.
Just leave it all stock but just fitting the biggest tires that will fit.
I suppose a wee bit of rub at full lock is ok.
I can get a set of almost new 225/70/15's for it. & wonder?
I've also been thinking about 215/75/15's ?
Seems there's a lot of knowledge around here.
Thanks.

just go 205/75/15 general grabber A/T's if you want to stay at stock height. they are a little wider than the factory tires and will not rub anywhere yet still give you all terrain traction

Re: *Official H/T OFFROAD/LIFTED CR-V thread!*
Can I go 80 or 85?
Or do they even make that ?
What sorta trimming?
So so I not even consider the 225/70/15's
That I could get for free?
They will rub for sure ?

With close-to-stock size you won't have to do anything, especially with the stock wheels.
I'm sure 225/70/15's will be fine. It will be over an inch taller than stock, but should not be an issue.
The tab we are talking about is in the rear wheel well toward the front top of the car. You cannot miss it. Take a hammer and flatten it. No one knows wtf it's for.
