Ah right. Well they're going to have to get your control arm pickup point pretty close to where it should be regardless of whether you choose to chop and weld in the new dented piece. Pulling it straight will be much neater, hopefully they can get away with just doing that!

I pick up my 3rd CRX this weekend. It isn't a true Y49, but it might as well be.

The new one is a B16A, but not quality swap.

It was a Logitech setup, but I am not sure if they still sell them. I have been looking for a new modern one recently, but don't know what to get right now.

So, I have been working on the Yellow CRX. Not sure if I should start a new thread or just merge it into this one.

I'd say a new one. It would get confusing having two CRXs being 'built' on the same thread.

Got a new battery for my RC Car. Made a video testing out the battery, before I put it together.

That is some loose rubber! I love those little RC cars. So fun to watch. Too pricey for me, I already have one money hole out back.

Got some parts in, but haven't got to the garage as I am traveling again. I got a new horn button (the Mugen one was always on), Lower ball joints, and NRG suspension rack and pinon bushings.

Anyways here is a youtube video of the RC car running. My friend is carefully playing with it on either low or med throttle.

Carefully! That's an understatement. Those things are quick! Couple guys at work bring theirs in every now and again and they fly through the parking lot. They roll really easily too.

Yeah it is just a constant game of fixing them. Mine doesn't roll easily, it just breaks easily. Stripping gears is common when on full throttle, and if you hit something the joints break easily. It is a 1/12th scale with 1/10th scale high end parts. The battery is heavy and right behind the front wheels, and there is a 1/2 lbs lead weight in front of the wheels. The tires would balloon and the car would be uncontrollable. So adding weight kept the tires from ballooning.

At this point, I just stock up on the parts that break.

The Mugen Horn button wasn't working right. It was always on. I found this MOMO - Honda OEM button to replace it.

I got MOOG sway bar links, MOOG lower ball joints, Beck front LCA (left hasn't arrived yet), and NRG rack and pinion bushings.

How they arrived.

Unboxed

New Vs old sway bar links

Bought a BJ removing tool from Harbor Freight for something like $70. I ended up having to cut one of the cups, and using a socket.

BJs side by side

LCA side by side

LCA bushings.

LCA old bushing twisted.

Right side installed

Right side installed

Close up of the BJ. MOOG has extra clip.

Suspension update looks nice. Same thing is coming for mine. Just received Moog, inner/outer tie rods. Lower ball joints and Timken (NTN) wheel bearings.

Why you block the horn button part number though? Looks good too,

Looks good! Fun exercise for sure!

If you are interested, as of last year, Honda still have a few rear LCAs left to purchase. It is the arm with the bushings already installed. I believe those part numbers cover the CRXs and the Del Sols... Might want to pick a couple up if you are doing this. otherwise, when they are gone, you will have to go aftermarket or buy the bushings and press out the old ones from the arms.

Something to consider. Good job!

In the end, now I have two sets of arms, 1 on the car, the other idle for when I can press out and press in the new bushings. Nice to have that flexibility.

I didn't, InlineFour did, that is how I got it.

Honda's is ~150, Beck from summit is 50. They are basically the same so I for once went the cheap route.

I was referring to the REAR lower control arms. Not the fronts.

Check here:

Right Rear LCA

Left Rear LCA

My fault. Fronts are available also. Thought you were referring to what I just did.
