whats the secret for the 'cut and weld' tranny mount-b series
I want to cut and re weld the tranny mount for my b16a into a 89 crx..
ok so I use an LS drivers side mount,
then flip the rear mount..
then use the stock teg pass mount and reweld the brackets to the frame..
use 90-93 teg axels too, correct?
or.. 88-89 teg axels
thanks

I just got my hasport mount kit and they are sweet looking. Just get the mount kit and save yourself some headaches.

I don't see why it would break if welded correctly, but it just doesn't seem worth the headaces.
Just get a Hasport, or an HCP mount kit.

HASPORT
Use Hasport mounts please. My opinion? Don't do all that weld-in stuff unless its a banger and Hasport mounts are too expensive for you.

first of all ge some mounts. i got place racing mounts and i think there the ****. Second use 90-93 integra axles. last but not least go to a junkyard and get a 93 rear bracket mount for the back of the motor.

you guys kill me..
I have hasport mounts.. I have two crx's.. and two b series swaps.. I just wanted to try it to save a little money.. 500 would mean pistons for the b20 or even cams..
I know you guys have done this, whats the secret? like axels and stuff

i had a swap done more than a year ago and when i saw the mounts they look like stock mounts, i showed it to a friend he says they are old integra mounts--mounts worked good for me never broke em never broke axles-now i swapped a b18c myself using them same mounts no probs and hood closes perfect--

It will not break if it's welded correctly. I've done countless reweld EF swaps, including my own(3 years and still holding all I throw at it) and never had problems. And you aren't welding to sheet metal, you're welding to the frame rail.
