what are the symptoms of a slipped timing belt?
my brothers 91 crx si is not starting...or it will start for a second and then die out...we have replace the cap, rotor, plugs, and wires, and are definitely getting spark.
We removed the timing belt cover and noticed that the timing belt was very loose (about an inch of play). So what are the symptoms when starting a motor with the timing belt slipped a tooth?
I know how to line up TDC on the crank and cam pulleys...just haven't done it yet cuz the battery is dead
