B16a timing belt / timing / spark / going out of my MIND!
my timing belt on my rebuilt, and yet unfired b16a has slid back as far as it can on all the pulleys it contacts. It is uncomfortably close to several bolts and just doesnt look right, do I have improper tension? The tensioner on this engine confuses me a little. I am 98% sure I had the engine at TDC when I installed the cams with the arrows facing up on the pulleys. What is the best way to determine TDC? Also, even if all of that was not right, shouldnt I still have spark when I crank the engine? I pulled a plug and tried to ground it on the block and manifold, and still have no spark at the plug when I crank. Please help!

You should still have spark, I am having the same problem as you right now, I still have spark at the plug while cranking. Check your dizzy etc.
