Default Is there a difference wiring PM7 VS PM6 ECU's

The PM7 is a 1988 the PM6 is a 1989, I built and wired the car for the PM6 car runs error code free, just aquired a PM7 ECU chipped with a Mungen program but I get led Lit solid from startup. No flashing. This is supposed to be a good ECU. I tried resetting the ecu several times but always same condition, Won't rev either. Suggestions?

Ditto...Sounds like either a bad Rom or bad job of installing it. I had this happen on a PR3. The socket for the chip tested ok but would act up. Ended up having to have is shipped and fixed

Just contacted the guy I bought it from, to see about getting a refund. Guess I will try to reset it a few more times. Just in case. P***es me off, been waiting 2 weeks for this to get here too. Light is solid lit, no flashing at all.

Hopefully the guy has some integrity. Will find out soon enough. Wonder what it will cost to fix if he won't refund me any money.

Just so you know, most ecus that are older than mid-89 do not have the provisions for an external rom.

I didn't chip the ECU, it was that way aleady. And yes I am fully aware of ESD precautions. Was in the electronincs Industry and was formally trained in it. It was pulling an Error code zero when I recieved it. Seller said he will refund my money if it is in fact bad. Well I have no doubt. My '89 PM6 works perfect, this '88 PM7 is lit solid. And buy the way I do know what you mean about most '88 adn '89 ecus not having exterrrrnal roms. Both of these do however. My PM6 is socketed alerady (I did it) waiting for a good chip to come from supplier. Last one sent was bad so have orginal Eprom in the socket again. Bought this PM7 when I had the chance but its hosed. I didn't ermember if there was any wiring differences between these two, but am real certain there isn't. Just to be certain why this ECU is pulling an error.
