That's great.... i have a HOLE in my floor
its right where my feet are when not on the pedals..... i noticed it when getting out of my car, it felt like my foot "sank".... i looked closely, and there's a dip in the floor. Then i looked under the car, and yeah.... i could see my carpet...
the hole is circular with a 3 inch diameter... ****** gay.. i could see corroded pieces of the underbody fraying from the hole...
how should i repair this ****?!? cardboard + duct tape?
hmmm, maybe i should weld a sheet of metal on it

What you want to do is: cut out all of the rusted metal before welding in new metal. Secondly, try to get a piece of sheet metal the same thickness as the floorpan and weld it in even with the rest of the floor. Go to Harbor Freight or a similar store and get a big magnet or some vicegrips to hold the metal in place while you weld it. Then prime, paint and undercoat the patch.

no. you can fix it for free. just cut out some sheet metal from somewhere and glue it on / duct tape around the edges. this way its easy, and its basically free.

You can weld them together, but you electrolisis. Which in time creates rust at the weld. It would be kinda pointless then right? I had to weld up my quarters right in front of the rear wheels. Pain in the azz, but can't complain for a $200 car.
