91 ee8- it was the better choice. It came in both right and left hand drive, it roughly made the same hp but had a taller geared transmission. it came with the all leather interior that had the cool door cards and seats. The speedo went to 260kph. the headlights were made of real glass and the bulbs were h4's
The rear tail lights had a built in fog lights too

Re: EE8 91/EF8 91 CRX Differences
The cluster was different (as Deetz pointed out), with a slightly different layout -vs- the EF8. They had some emissions differences as well, which vary depending on the country.
My knowledge of all the EDM model variances is not the best to begin with and when combined with my advancing years, it makes me a little unsure of my next statement so someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but depending on the country, the EE8 may also have been equipped with seat-heaters and/or headlight washer squirters and possibly electric headlight adjusters.
EE8 > EF8: Basically more configurations to choose from... And for North American grey markets, being able to get all the goodies of an EF8 in a LHD package is the icing on the cake. The only places the EF8 > EE8 is with the glasstop and auto aircon (and maybe power folding mirrors if you're into that), but there are the heated seats and headlight washers to offset.
And were I to be honest, even though I love the glasstop, there are times I miss having the sunroof (even with their issues).
(And Deetz, I don't know if I have your current number, so please text me when you have a minute.)

Just realized you're from Australia... Have no idea what equipment was on an EE8 from your neck of the woods... or if Australia even had them in the first place.

EF8 SIR has different Trans Mount and Ear Location on the passenger side. Rear Mount is a opposite mirror image. We also sell the SIR EF8/9 Motor Mount Kit Cable B and EF8/9 Traction Bar System with Front Torque Mount Kit for Cable B SIR. The Frame of the SIR EF8/9 Chassis to where the crossmember bolts is in different height then a USDM and frame rail bolt pattern is in different spot.
