Stock D16A6 Top Speed?
Just woundering what a stock Civic/CRX Si runs, top speed wise...
I was also woundering if it has a speed limiter and if so what is it set to.

No I don't think there is a limiter. There is for the ZC ECU, but a PM6 controlled A6 will do 125+ mph, I hear from a reliable source.

why? your car will never need to go 125+ even at a drag strip.... you wont be hitting that mph with a turbo sohc.
so don't do it.

doesnt make sense at all.
you saying you did that at the track. if its on public streets, your math is off... you drive safer than 1%

lol Belive me, if I get one speeding ticket, I wont be able to drive by myself for an extra year so I wont be doing any top speed runs anytime soon don't worrie lol And with my dad in the passanger seat, I even signal while getting out of my culdesac lol .. Any time I feel the "Need For Speed" I'll just pick up Gran Turismo. It was just one of thoes curious questions like "what if" and what not, thats all it was.... Unless ProjectDarkBlack ask's, then it's so I can keep up with my homies in Lime Green Eclipses and Orange Supras... He know's what I'm talkin about

Re: (STREETWERKZ)
2am, deserted highway, ZERO people around, ZERO chance of cross traffic as there were no intersecting roads, ten mile straight away, crystal clear night, proper air in tires, suspension geared towards high speed, proper seat positioning, hands at 3 and 9 with proper grip. Need I go on? Believe it or not, some people really don't give a flying expletive at a rolling doughnut about drag racing and actually know how to drive their cars. Some people are even smart enough to not put other people at risk.
The vast majority of the people on the road do one or more of the following, look at their passangers while they talk, talk on their cell phones, drink coffee, eat, look at directions, fumble with something in the glove box or on the floor, turn around while moving forward, and/or use a laptop for whatever purpose. And ricers just drive fast regardless of who's around.
Like I said, don't give me any ******* ****. I don't build my cars to be grandma, I build them to drive them and I know how to do so very well. Thank you, good night.

I dont care if I get flamed for my past actions, because this was then, and I've changed alot since. but I took it to over 125 mph once, 110% empty freeway, straight stretch, from a visual perspective, the needle was almost at or about a 5 o clock, or so, by the looks of it, if I added a few more sticks, it would've been reading 130 or 135, I was trying to see what the top speed was, and I was damn near close to redline. maybe 300 rpm's from it. Anyway, only happened once, course it only takes once time to get me killed right? Right. Regardless, maybe this info has served some answer.

I just have to say this is not true. A turbo sohc can easily hit 125 on the strip.

How long of a track are you talking about?
A SOHC trapping at 125 would easily be a mid to low 11 sec. car in the quarter...that's not necissarily easy...(depending on your definition of easy)

By easy I mean I have seen it done by people who don't run a shop or race for a living. Built D16 and a fat turbo.
