should be able to. What i would do is just use the HF housing and put in a Quaife rack which has a lower ratio. 2.6 turns lock to lock. http://www.kingmotorsports.com

i am going to be doing this myself. minus using the hf cause i already have a manual steering dx. just remember that the quaife CAN NOT be used on a pwoer steering setup. besides, i LOVE the manual steering on my dx. i can feel the road so much better!!

Yeah, use DX or HF, i found out the hard way, but I love the quaife steering rack. it's just a giant go cart now. The only thing that sucks are Y turns, manageable, but it takes a little time and effort.
