Default state referee!!!!!! aaaaaahhhh!!!!

i need to renew my tags to 2008 and i only have 2 months to do it... and i have a 99 obd-2 gsr motor in my 90 crx... and i was wondering if i should take it to smog station and just pass the test or if i should take it to the state referee and make it pass? what are the advantage of getting my car bar'd? oh and one more thing how do you wire the evap soleniod valve from my firewall to the intake manifold? and you guys think that the ref will say something because im running the obd-2 gsr motor as obd-1? please help me out here thanks......

you may have hook ups, but if you get pulled over and chp decides to pop your hood, then what??? Get it smogged first to buy you time, but ideally, you need to get your car BAR'd if you want to stay "legal".

if motor came from donor car that's obd2, then you should wire it obd2.

OBDII motor = OBDII ecu. They will check.

Have everything hooked up correctly or you will fail. Yes they check.

If your hook-up passes you and you get pulled over and sent to the ref the bar might look into your last smog and BUSTED.

Please do it right and then you don't have to worry about it again.

The vacuum lines go from IM to evap sol to vent on top. Then there is a bigger line that goes from the cannister to the TB. Also there is another line from the gas tank to the cannister.
Basically the evap sol uses vac to open the cannister vent so it will purge.

so you think that they will say fail obd-2 motor has to be running as obd-2 fail.....damn but who makes the hopers from obd-0 to obd-2a.. you dont think i will get check in engine lights? i mean i dont right now never have.. But they say that obd-2 ecu read everything for example crank angle sensor which i dont have hook up and i already got rid of the crank sensor? also the vacum tank obd-2 are diffrent they are also hook up to a pigtail which i dont have aswell... i think i just might smog it if i get pulled over i wont pop the hood car is not under my name. it is under my dads name. i dont have permission to pop the hood....not my ride!!

Put the O2 Just like it is a 99 obdII. It might be in the cat or after it.

All OBDII cars are required to have a DLC connector (Diagnostic link connector) You need this working with the CEL (Check engine light)

And if you are driving and get asked to pop the hood and you don't. Well let's just say I hope you have your walking shoes on.

Wasn't it a 94? Anyway, like I said, all I did was upgrade my o2 sensor to a 4 wire and played dumb. I told em I took my car to a shop and they did all the work. I pretended to be surprised when he told me that I had a 94 LS (B18b) and I said, I paid for a B18A
But this was 5 years ago...If it helps, I went to the Fremont ref station on Mission blvd...inside an Automotive school (i forgot what its called) sorry.

put a 95 GS-R intake manifold on it. I have one for sale if you need it. PM me.

Thats the only visual difference of the obd2 GS-R motors. Just like EF_LSvtec said, act surprised if they mention anything to you about the year. I reff'd 2 of my set ups 5 years ago as well. The first one was a obd1 USDM GS-R set up and the second one was for a obd2 JDM GS-R set up.

Everything has to be hooked up properly, vacuum lines, sensors and you can't have a CEL on. Also use a stock p72 ecu... no chipped bullshit.
