Smaller rad for the ef?
Would it be possible (would it even be beneficial?) to mount an eg rad onto a ef? This will free up a lot of space for a turbo, intercooler, oil cooler, etc. Has anyone done this? Have pics of the install and finished product?

Place Racing makes a kit to put one in, the smaller radiator won't cool as well, but it makes more room for the turbo. they've been advertising them in super street and other mags.
Try a search, this question has come up recently. You might be able to get some more info.

i beleave the smaller radiator will cool as well have herd that they are dobled cored or somthing to that effect, only problem is the hoses would behard to fit to the new radiator. if it cools in the eg why not as good in a ef besides it will sit next to a turbo

Re: Smaller rad for the ef? (thumpu77)
Sorry, I did try and do a search but I couldn't find anything. Well, I figured if they are using the half sized rad to cool a d16z6, then it must be better than the d16a6 rad. I already have a d16z6 swap and am finding it too weak. Interested in doing a junkyard turbo for it and would like to free up as much room as possible for a intercooler, oil cooler and compressor. I was hoping someone did a junkyard eg rad conversion for an EF. Doesn't appear to be that hard. I could probably bend/drill/curse/make my own brackets. For rad lines, wouldn't I be able to just use d16z6 compenents? I don't want to spend $300 cdn for a new rad and it not to work. So i was hoping someone else has tried what I'd like to.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for sort of. Anyone got pics of the setup? A parts list? Has anyone tried the dodge neon approach?
