Default shaking when turning

when i go around a turn to the right the passenger side shakes real bad. it comes from the front suspenion area. when i turn left or go straight it is fine. i replaced th drivers side axle before the wap but not passenger side. anyone know what is causing this. i think its my passenger side axle but im not 100% sure...if you have any suggestions let me know.

I would think the axle would shake no matter which way you turned if it was bad. Shaking can be many things as you know.(rack, joints, etc.) Jack it up and run through the susp. looking for play or looseness. If it's all good then buy a remanufactured axle and throw it in, see whats happens. They are only about 80 beans anyway.

Hey RaceFacer,
I am having the same problem. When I go around a left turn at about 20 or more I get this vibration/noise from the right axle. I just put in my ls/vtec and got the driveshaftshop stage 1 axles for it. I am going to inspect my car tonight at work. Let me know if you find anything

I have the same problem on the right side of my car when I turn left... makes a nice scrubbing/vibrating noise... It's pretty bad, actually. Sounds like the tire's about to pull the fender under the car, but nothing's scrubbing!

My dss stage 2 does that on the drivers side. It sucks because it depends on my ride height. I put the perch up a little on the koni's and it went away except for hard lefts and big bumps. If I have a passenger, it becomes much more sensitive and many left turns suck. It feels like the axle is going to rip in half. When I pull the car apart this spring, I'm gonna check on it more and talk to the dss.

Kinda makes me wonder if the steering rack and bushings for it really could cause this...

My car had a pop to it when I would turn the wheel sometimes, but this noise just started happening out of nowhere...

Before spending $250+ on a rack, I'm going to throw new axles, and a new midshaft at it, and see if that hels at all. It really helps knowing the guy at the parts counter of the Honda AND Acura in town .

maybe the wheel bearing has play? jack the car up and try moving the wheel back and forth - grab the wheel vertically on top and bottom and shake it. shouldnt move at all.

You should check your lower ball joint, all the other things you checked are parts that would vibrate even when going straight. the ball joint would move around when turning because the susp angle changes when turning
