Well bro what you need to do is take advantage of the search feature, it's not hard.

It's very hard to do and time consuming and requires ALOT of stuff.....

buy a front clip from someone like hmo or something. then weld everything on. i think the front clip minus all the goodies was like 350 w/o shipping.

Find a JDM seller that will ship the whole car over in pieces/striped, and you will have to piece the car together once it gets to US soil. That's the easiest way to get a Jdm car I've heard of, that way it goes through customs as parts.

For the love of god, there is NO inconinvenience of RHD. If you ***** call leanin over to the passenger side to grab a bag or burgers, is a burden, then forget about RHD all together its out of your league.

CRXFORUM: You dont own a JDM CRX so why are you talking?

IF you do have a imported CRX, it's because you live in CANADA, where a monkey could import a car if he wanted.
Unfortunately we DONT live there, and you CANT import a CRX unless your RICH AS HELL.

Ya see in the world of business there are things called:
-out sourcing
-economy
Our country has a shitty economy.
Corporations like Nike, Wal Mart, Ecko, clothing brands etc. already have monopoly's over the outsourcing game.
They want you to keep your money in America, that's why it costs upwards of 75K to import one to the US.
If 1 person would foot that bill, then we could all get em easily like you, but it just dont roll like that

Its not simple to import a car into Canada either. There is a lot of paperwork you have to do, translations of papers from Japanese to English, proof from Honda (or whatever company the car is from) of the manufacturer date, shipping, insurance, dealing with customs, thefts, and a million other things that take months and months to plan out. And if you are paying, or anyone is paying, $75K to import a Honda from Japan tell them I have a bridge to sell them aswell.

You get a broker and it is a million times easier to import into Canada or the US. There are legal loopholes around any law that deals with customs. You just need to know them. You can import a car from Japan to the US if you are a dual citizen of the US and Japan. Or know a friend who is one. They just need to own the car for a year over there and then can ship it here, wait 2 months for customs stuff and OMGBBQ you have a JDM car on your doorstep.

There are so many ways to do this. How do you think there are so many people with RHD cars LEGALLY regestered in the US with JDM VINs and such? Thats how they do it. Its been going on for years and years.

Bro importing into Canada is easy as hell. There are several companies that can get you a siR for $5-$7K landed in CAN titled and everything.

There are tons of wys to import to the S, yes this is true. But no matter what loophole yo go through, the car will not be permited for permanent use.
Trust me, TRUST ME I DID MY RESEARCH
You cannot LEGALY import pne for permanant use without going throgh alot of suff.
If you'd bother to read my thread you'd know the reason it costs close to 75K:
You must pass DOT safety standards. To do this you must modify the car througha RI. Then there will be 3 crash tests and the results will be evaluated to decide if it meets FVSS (federal motor vehicle safety standards). So you need:
4 CRX's of the same model (ef8) - around $20k
Modifying all for 4 - Estimated $40k
Customs duties on the 4 CRX's - around $1k
That doesn't include the costs of government storage of your car during this time period, the cost of the crash tests, and final registration and titling of your title.
So your easily looking at $75k, the CRX's have to be of acceptable condition to be used in the crashes so your looking at realisticly $6-8k a CRX which makes your customs duties go up a substancial amount.

Im not trying to be a dick.
Im just trying to make it clear you cannot import any kind of EF8 or 9 without big bucks or illegal tactics.
The reason there are so many RHD cars are that several have had gone through the process and had their vehicles approved.
Several of these cars include certain skylines, preludes, silvias, etc.
Just quite bein lazy and read my thread, it explains it all. There's even links to the DOT's approved vehicles.
