rex or hatchie? help me
ok here is my situation...i have an 89 civic Si hatchie in my garage....i have a deal coming for a crx si that doesnt run...its timing is messed up or something...the only rust that is real noticable is next to the moonroof which im happy to say does work...it is lowered 3 inches and is primered blue....the interior is aight but the seats are going to need to be replaced...its an 88 Si...lowered, exhaust and a tach....my 89 si has stuff done to it but nothing i cant just switch over...heres pix of the rex
then heres pics of my hatchie in my project thread that can be found here....https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1502204
hatchie does have some completely through rust on the bottom of the quarters..
if u want more pics go to the project thread.....but wat i really want to know is which one should i go with? i dunno wat to choose either way im buyin the rex i just dont know which one to keep....can u guys help?

hmm, i'm not going to give you advice because if it were me i would'nt be able to get rid of one, i'd keep them both, they're like brothers man, who wants an only child. seriously though i've had both cars, had a '91 hatch, now i drive a '91 rex. i loved both cars but i feel my rex has a bit more of a personality so i'd choose the rex, plus they're getting a bit more rare than hatches, especially an '88 Si thats a gem right there in my eyes.

i'd keep them both...but if you have to choose, id say my deciding factor would be the rust....so keep the car with less rust

Hate to say it,,but sell the hatch and get the crx..You said your hatch has deep rust and the crx only has minor rust on sunroof..So get the crx,,just make sure there is no bondo under that "blue primer" paint..Run a magnet across the body to see if it sticks..

Use the crx for daily beater and continue on the hatch, or sell me the hatch and do the rex(ha ha). No for real just sit down and way your options. If you have kids do the hatch, my kids love riding in my car (ages 3boy and 1girl). If not do the rex. **** do them both, it's not very often that you have the oppertunity to have the same gen cousins. It would be sweet to do his and her cars also, if she's worth building a car for. I would like to do that for my wife, we'll see though tonights the first time I've let her drive my car in about 2 years (long story maybe another time). Do what you want. Don't let someone else make your mind up for you.
