Re: Replace Sunroof Motor (Downs)
As long as your not afraid to dis-assemble your interior, the swap isn't hard at all. If you can use a socket, you can do it.

Re: Replace Sunroof Motor (Downs)
are you positive its the motor that is bad... i thought my motor was gone and didnt want to spend any money on a motor and take apart the interior... i took the switch apart and cleaned off all the contacts and put it back together and whalah... everything worked great... i also cleaned the rails once i got it opened cause it was covered in gunk... who knows how long it had been since it was opened... also check the sunroof relay... good luck

Thanks for the info, I will check the switch before I replace it. You can manually open and close it, that's what makes me think that it is the motor. But I will definately check that maybe it will save me some $$

Re: Replace Sunroof Motor (Downs)
same thing happened to my sunroof. replaced the switch instead of cleaning though cuz the nice little picture was all worn off. also the main problem getting to the motor is getting the headliner off without cracking it. trust me.....
