Distributor bearing, where to buy new one??
Hey guys, The bearing in my disrtibutor has alot of play in it and i would like to replace it without spending a ton of money on a new distributor, Theres a thing in the fac describing how to replace the bearing but I can't find a place online that sells the actual bearing. I have searched and how found nothing.
The fac says a company called Nachi makes a bearing that will work, part number 6001NLS but I can't fine it for sale anyware.
so where can I find this bearing???

Is this for a B16?
The number on the bearing I had is 6001 N-S-L
and I found one through NAPA..
The NAPA part# for the replacement was 6001-2ZJ
and they will probably have to order it for you.
I have rebuilt one and can tell you it can be a pain
to get apart..Do use heat on the tiny screws as they are loctited..
A couple of mine broke anyway...

Do heat the little screws to get them off. Before you even attempt to change the bearings, check the condition of the wire harness that's right at the bottom of the distributor, if they appear as if they're about to fall apart, go with a new replacement.
As for the bearings, the question you want to ask yourself is:
Will this bearing work long in the temperatures it'll be subjected to.
